(Bowie, MD) — More than a dozen Big Lots stores in the DMV are closing as part of a belt-tightening move. The retailer says it needs to trim its underperforming stores to shore up its balance sheet. In the DC area, Big Lots locations in Bowie, Laurel and Lexington Park are on the chopping block in Maryland and stores in Manassas, Woodbridge and Fredericksburg are facing closure in Virginia. The company is still working out the final details.
