The strike by musicians at the Kennedy Center is over. The walkout was only hours long before National Symphony Orchestra members reached a tentative agreement on a new contract with the Kennedy Center. Center officials say the new 18-month contract will bring the base salary for musicians to just over $165-thousand in the first year and almost $172-thousand in year two of the new deal. The Kennedy Center added that “The NSO musicians will retain their position as one of the highest compensated orchestras in the country.”
