When you give to WHUR’s 2018 Helping Hands, you help students like Howard University Biology Major Clara Ekezie. Clara has been giving up her traditional Spring Break for two years to instead be in service to communities in crisis. This year, she hopes to travel to Port Arthur, Texas to help families still reeling from Hurricane Harvey. WHUR’s Helping Hands helps to defray the cost of sending 500 Howard students to communities around the globe to perform over 100-thousand hours of community service. This year’s, Helping Hands Radiothon is Sunday, March 4th from 6am to 6pm at the WHUR studios,  529 Bryant Street, NW. You can drop off your donation to our studios, mail it, donate on-line by clicking the “Make a Donation” button, or call the SunTrust Phone Bank at 202-462-0285.
