A man posing as a Howard student is charged with raping 3 teens…

Prince George’s County Police following a tip from an anonymous letter have arrested a man who was posing as a Howard University student and raping young girls.

35-year-old Julian Everett is the person identified by police as the suspect wanted for raping three teens. Everett who owns a “U” Street barbers shop is accused of posing as a Howard University student on social media sites to meet young girls. According to police after connecting with the girls online he would then set up a date, give them a drink laced with something and then would allegedly take them to his home in New Carrolton where he would assault them.

Investigators say the attacks happened over the last 14 years. Two of the victims were Howard University students at the time. One was 18-years old in 2015 when she was raped. The other was 17-years-old when she was attacked in 2016. The third victim says she was only 16-years-old when raped by Everett.

Police believe there are more victims. A hotline has been set up for victims. The number to call is 301-772-4915.

Officials release a new campaign to make 210 safer…

This afternoon District 8 Prince George’s County Council Member Monique Anderson-Walker is planning to unveil the details of a new campaign to make busy and dangerous 210/ Indian Head Highway and other roads in the county safer.

The 1 pm press conference for #Driving it Home will be held at Oxon Hill High School. Other council members, State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy, Prince George’s County Fire Chief Benjamin Barksdale and others will be in attendance.

Police in Atlanta revisit the cold cases of 20 A.A’s kids murdered…

Atlanta Police along with the Mayor of Atlanta Keisha Lance Bottoms have announced the creation of a task force to look into a string of murders of children that went unsolved between 1979 and 1981.

The killing spree involved 28 African American children and adults. Their murders gripped residents in the South and headlines nationally. The person believed to have been the killer Wayne Williams was arrested and charged for killing two adults. He was 23-years-old at the time and is serving a life sentence for the crimes. No one however, was ever charged with the murders of the dozens of African American children.
