Two Prince George’s County Schools Locked Down After Shooting

Suitland High School and Drew Freeman Middle School have been temporarily locked down after a double shooting in the 5200 block of Daventry Terrance.  Silver Hill Road from Royal Plaza Drive to Plaza Drive is closed because of the investigation.

Avenatti Faces Charges On 2 Coasts

(New York, NY) — It’s a really bad day for Michael Avenatti. The former attorney for porn star Stormy Daniels has been arrested and charged in New York for attempting to extort more than 20-million-dollars from Nike by threatening to use his status to harm the company’s reputation. Meanwhile, on the other coast, Los Angeles prosecutors charged Avenatti in a separate federal case, where he is accused of embezzling a client’s money to pay expenses related to his coffee business.

Virginia, Maryland Senators Want Full Mueller Report Released

(Washington, DC) — Lawmakers around the DMV are reacting after Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation found no evidence that President Trump colluded with Russia to sway the 2016 election. Both of Virginia’s and Maryland’s U.S. Senators are calling for the full release of the Mueller report. Democrats Tim Kaine and Mark Warner say Americans deserve to see the complete findings. Maryland Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen are calling for full transparency. In a summary released by Attorney General William Barr yesterday, Barr pointedly says Mueller’s investigation did not find evidence President Trump or any members of his campaign conspired with Russia during the 2016 election.
