WSSC issues boil water advisory…
The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission has issued a boil water advisory for some residents in southern Prince George’s County.
Over the weekend a huge 36-inch water main ruptured and water was gushing out from busy 210 highway. The boil water advisory is a precautionary move. Officials are awaiting water test results.
23,000 residents in Fort Washington and the National Harbor are under the advisory until further notice. It recommended that you bring the water to a rolling boil for 3 minutes, let it cool and then use it. This applies for water for your pets as well.
Gayle King interviews Va Lt. Gov. Fairfax’s accusers…
Gayle King is grabbing national headlines this morning once again. This time she is sitting down with the two women who claim they were sexually assaulted or raped by Virginia Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax.
This morning on CBS’s This morning Dr. Vanessa Tyson the first woman to come forward to make the allegations spoke to King. Dr. Tyson a political scientist claims Fairfax forced her to perform a sex act on him in a hotel during the 2004 Democratic National Convention.
The second victim says Fairfax raped her when she was a student at Duke University. Both women are calling for an investigation and both say they are willing to testify under oath before lawmakers. They want Fairfax to resign. On Sunday, Fairfax over the weekend released that he had passed two separate polygraph tests regarding the allegations. He has always maintained that the sex was consensual.
Brach’s introduce Prince inspired candy for Easter…
The candy maker Brach’s is planning to sell candy inspired by the late pop icon Prince. The candy is called Purple Rain Tiny Jelly Birds. The flavors include berry, blue raspberry, blueberry, and grape. The Jelly Birds will be made available for purchase on April 21st which marks the 3rd anniversary of Princes’ death.
