DC Police were called out to yet another hit and run in the city. This time the victim and the suspect are both teens.

Last night around 9:30 15-year-old Amoni Richardson of Southeast was struck by a vehicle as she tried to cross East Capitol Street near the Benning Stoddert Recreation Center. Richardson was rushed to a near by hospital. She later died from the injuries she suffered. Another person was crossing the road with her and witnessed it.

Police say the incident was captured on surveillance camera. A search of the area uncovered the heavily damaged car in a nearby apartment complex. Officers later found the driver. A 17-year-old male who has not been identified. He has been charged with murder.
