It was over a dispute of the purchase of a car. Now a 23-year-old Bowie man is charged in the deadly New Year’s Day shooting that killed a local woman inside her home.
Police say Sammi Warren was upset over a car he bought from the woman’s son. Warren allegedly fired shots into the home located in the 74-hundred block of Varnum Street in Landover Hills. Bullets crashed through the home’s windows killing 56-year-old Filomena Vasques. Authorities say Warren had threatened the Vasques family prior to the shooting. Police say that several children were inside the home at the time of the shooting. Sammi Warren has been charged with murder
