D.C. Mayor Muriel E. Bowser has announced she is giving her support to presidential candidate and former New York Mayor, Mike Bloomberg.

In a tweet announcing her endorsement, Bowser calls Bloomberg a mentor and friend as well as “the only candidate who will unify the country and defeat Donald Trump…”
Bloomberg who ran as a republican during his campaign for mayor of New York, is currently polling at 8%-10% with voters, which puts him fourth amongst democratic nominees.
During the U.S conference of Mayors Winter Meeting, Bloomberg praised Bowser saying, “She is doing a terrific job, and I hope that someday soon we’ll be calling her ‘Governor Bowser,” A note to his support for D.C statehood.
Bowser’s endorsement of Bloomberg for president isn’t random, the two have interacted before and earlier this year she called him an important voice in the race for president.
An important voice is entering the race for President.
From climate change to common sense gun reform, @MikeBloomberg doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk.
