(Washington, DC) — Security barriers are coming down and streets and bridges are reopening after President Biden walked the streets of D.C. following his inauguration ceremony Wednesday. DC Mayor Muriel Bowser’s office said late Wednesday that the fences along 7th, 9th, and 12th streets would come down within 36 hours. They also say some parking garages that had been closed would reopen soon. Despite some security measures relaxing, most of what is in place around the Capitol will stay in place for the coming days and weeks.
