Dr. Dre’s Son Curtis Young Lands First Movie Role, Scoring Film Too

Dr. Dre’s son, Curtis Young, is following in his father’s footsteps and will establish himself in Hollywood with a role in the new film, “Charge It to the Game,” which he’s also set to score.

The coming-of-age story is about 4 best friends who are navigating adolescence, Young will play “Kong,” the older brother of one of the friends.

Other offspring of Hip-Hop royalty will also star in the film, Kong’s younger brother will be played by Snoop Dogg’s son, Julius Broadus, and Swizz Beatz’s son, Nasir Dean, will also star and help score the film.


Curtis has been waiting for this moment for a while, he auditioned to play his father in “Straight Outta Compton,” but lost the role to Corey Hawkins.
