A Johnson Family Vacation sequel is in the works at Fox Searchlight. DeVon Franklin will produce the film under his company Franklin Entertainment along with Cedric the Entertainer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The 2004 family comedy starring Cedric the Entertainer, Solange, Bow Wow,Vanessa Williams, and Gabby Soleil  as the Johnson family hit the “I-10 by 10” for a road trip to the patriarch’s Nate Johnson’s childhood town for the annual family reunion. At home the family had their own issues, including the parents being estranged, but through a tumultuous trip the family’s bond was restored.
