Paris Jackson Opens Up To Willow Smith About Suicide Attempts, Coming Out To Family

Paris Jackson, Michael Jackson’s daughter, opened up to Willow Smith for her Red Table Podcast about past suicide attempts.

“A lot of people do feel regret when they try and attempt suicide, like a last-minute regret,” Jackson said. “There have been times where I did and times where I didn’t, where I was upset that it didn’t work.”

Jackson went on to say she’s glad her attempts at suicide never worked and she’s currently in a better place. Her past anxiety and paranoia were a result of her father’s super-stardom and the paparazzi who would intrude on their lives.

“I’ll hear a trash bag rustling and flinch in panic. I think it’s standard PTSD,” said Paris. She also says the lack of support from her family after coming out made her not feel “accepted.”

“My family is very religious and a lot of homosexuality is very taboo, so they don’t like to talk about it, it’s not really accepted.”
