Raphael Saadiq expressed his admiration for Andra Day for her role as Billie Holiday in the Hulu film, The United States vs. Billie Holiday. Saadiq also said watching the film taught him a lot about Billie Holiday. Both Saadiq and Day have been nominated for a Best Original Song Golden Globe for their track “Tigress & Tweed” in the film.
