MPD Officers Recover Stolen SE French Bulldog

Washington, D.C. (Saturday, July 6, 2024) – A happy ending to a terrifying ordeal for a S.E. dog owner who had her French Bulldog stolen at gunpoint last Saturday. Members of MPD’s Violent Crimes Suppression Division recovered Yurman tonight and returned him safely to his owner Jaineen Brown.

Police did not release any details on where the dog was located or if anyone has been charged in the case. Brown said last week a masked man took her beloved Yurman at gunpoint Saturday evening in the 1700 Block of Fort Davis Street and fled in a dark colored Honda.

Brown wrote on her Instagram account tonight that she was immensely thankful to MPD and all those who shared her posts. “This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. My boy is home and it is passed our bedtime.”
