South Carolina Man Attempts To Hire KKK Hitman

Attempts to hire KKK hitman to kill black neighbor

A white South Carolina man who tried to hire a Ku Klux Klan member to kill a black neighbor has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison.  26-year-old Brandon Lecroy was upset that his black neighbor kept coming on to his property asking for food and to use his phone.
Lawyers for Lecroy said his actions were not racially motivated and that he, quote, “called the KKK because who else was he going to call?”  But prosecutors produced recordings where Lecroy used racist language and suggested to an undercover agent posing as the KKK hit-man that he could use a flaming cross.
