It is a bizarre story. A Clayton, Missouri school teacher who has HIV has been charged with removing a student from class and then molesting that child. Fast forward, three years later that teacher is now under arrest for allegedly hiring someone to kill that student.
Police say 36-year-old Deonte Taylor and his boyfriend and accomplice 66-year-old Michael Johnson both appeared in court this week and plead not guilty to the charges.
Investigators say Taylor who was a teacher at Lusher Elementary in 2015 removed a 7-year-old from class and molested that child. He was never charged but left the school and got another job at another school where he began teaching 5th graders. He was arrested a short time later after police matched his DNA with that found on the 7th grader.
While in jail awaiting his day in court that’s when police say that Taylor and Johnson tried to hire someone to not only the former student but his family as well. Police did not say how they found out that he had put a hit out on a child he was accused of molesting.
Taylor is facing a number of charges including felony sodomy and conspiracy to commit murder and witness tampering. His victim is now 10-years-old.
