Arrest In NAACP Leader’s Death

Kent Carter was on vacation when he was murdered.

(Providenciales, Turks and Caicos) — An arrest has been made in the death of a NAACP leader in Arlington County. Officials say a 31-year-old man from the island of Turks and Caicos has been arrested and charged in the October 2nd murder of Kent Carter. Andre De Souza is charged with the death of Carter, the vice president of the Arlington County NAACP, who was visiting the island on vacation. De Souza remains under active police investigation for suspected gang related activities and other criminal offenses.
