(Phoenix, AZ) — Brittney Griner is back home in Phoenix after being in Russian custody since February. In an Instagram post, Griner said the love from so many kept her going and she thanks everyone for their help from the bottom of her heart. She said she’s grateful for her wife, family, and the entire WNBA family for their support. She gave a special thank you to the Biden Administration and said she’ll do everything she can to help President Biden bring home ex-Marine Paul Whelan. He’s still being held in a Russian prison. She concluded by saying she intends to play basketball for the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury this season.
