{WATCH} Remembering Chadwick Boseman At Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Special Screening At The Smithsonian National Museum of African American and Culture

As a fan of the movie Black Panther, it’s safe to say it hit us all hard when August 28, 2020 the news of Chadwick Boseman passing struck. When Boseman played the iconic character T’Challa in Black Panther, we immediately anticipated that Director Ryan Coogler would deliver us a sequel but unfortunately not the untimely death of the main character.

Coogler shared the importance of this screening and what it means to be in DC in regards to Boseman, “Chad identified with this place. His time here had a profound impact on him.” He continues, “I know what bookstore he worked at while he was here and the protest that he led and participated in while he was here. The stories about him here at Howard are legend.”

Sunday, Candice Adkins -Wilson was able to speak to Angela Bassett,  Ryan Coogler, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’O , Tenoch Huerta, and Winston Duke as they attended the special screening of Black Panther: Wakanada Forever at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American and Culture.
