Washington, D.C. (Friday, June 14, 2024) – A four-year-old boy was found unresponsive inside a vehicle Friday at Galloway Street and South Dakota Avenue in NE, DC. Police said someone called 911 shortly after 5pm to report the child inside a Ford SUV. The boy was pronounced dead at short time later.
It is not clear how long the child was inside the vehicle or if the soaring heat played a role in his death. Police are investigating and the medical examiner will rule on the official cause of death.
Police said a guardian was nearby when officers responded to the scene.
