(Washington, DC) — Congress could soon get a report on former President Trump’s tax returns. Democrats on the House’s tax-writing committee could vote today to release the report after a years-long legal battle to get their hands on Trump’s tax records from 2015 to 2020. Trump was the first president in decades to not publicly share his returns upon taking office. Critics in the GOP argue that if Congress can make Trump’s tax info public, there’s nothing to stop them from going after anyone else.
