Washington, D.C. – (Wednesday, 18, 2021) – On what was just the third day of school, turned tragic today at KIPP DC College Preparatory. A 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death at a bus stop just outside the school.
D.C. police have not released the youth’s name. But Police Chief Robert Contee says the violence erupted right in front of the school with administrators and officers nearby. Another student, a 16-year-old boy has been taken into custody. His identity is not yet known nor the charges he may face.
A letter from the principal says KIPP DC College Preparatory will be closed tomorrow and school counselors will be made available for students who may need help.
