DMV Residents Reminded To Conserve Water

(Washington, DC) — Although the DMV saw some rain last week from the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby, local leaders are reminding residents that they still need to conserve water. The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments activated a regional drought watch for nearly six-million residents in the DC region at the end of July, but the agency says water tables are still way low. Officials say limiting car washing and lawn watering and taking quicker showers will help keep full-on water restrictions from being needed.
