Filmmaker Addresses Mental Health and Homelessness

You don’t have to go far in the DMV to encounter the homeless. They are at intersections and median strips. They’re in parks in the suburbs and sidewalks in the city. They aren’t just un-housed. Many are mentally ill. The National Alliance of Mental Illness estimates that 20 percent of them are dealing with some form of mental illness. We talk to a Prince George’s County filmmaker who addresses the issue.
