(Greenbelt, MD) — Federal prosecutors are leveling charges against five people from Maryland who allegedly stole at least five-million dollars in checks from the U.S. Postal Service. An indictment unsealed late last week accuses Tianna Cosby and Marche Sisco of stealing more than 600 business and personal checks, mainly through Sisco’s employment at the Washington Network Distribution Center. Cosby and three others are accused of recruiting people to deposit altered checks into banks so the money could be shared by those involved. Charges against the group include conspiracy to commit bank fraud and mail fraud.
