D-DOT will now issue warnings for the first two-weeks where a new traffic camera is placed or upgraded. Councilmember Mary Cheh says many people are confused after being ticketed when they know they came to a complete stop. Drivers will also see more signage and warnings on the pavement to remind them of an upcoming stop. After the two-week grace period, drivers will be fined at normal rates.
