Safe Passages For DC Students

The Mayor’s office has partnered with local organizations to keep students safe and they travel to and from school. District students head back to school Monday, September 3rd.

With “back to school” just three days away for the District’s public school students, staying safe on the way to and from school is a priority. As such, Mayor Bowser and her administration have launched what it calls “A Safe Spot” initiative, a partisanship among the city, faith based organizations, and local businesses to provide safe spaces for students along their travel routes to school.  Monday is the first day of classes for DC public school students.
