Maryland’s New Office of Service and Civic Innovation

When he campaigned for governor, Wes Moore floated the idea of service for Maryland high school graduates.  Now that his is governor, the idea has blossomed into a new cabinet-level position, the Maryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation.  It’s first Secretary is Paul Monteiro.  We talk about this new idea and what it may mean for young Marylanders and others interested in community service.
