(Baltimore, MD) — The Maryland State Highway Administration is about to double its efforts to clean up roadsides. Operation Clean Sweep is getting underway, which will see crews picking up litter nearly twice as often as usual. Aside from being an eyesore, State Highway wants to clear the trash before grass-cutting season and to keep gutters clog-free. All state roads will get attention, but crews will first concentrate on interstates and highways.
