Cancer diagnosis in younger people are happening more often than before. A study published in the journal JAMA Network Open shows that between 2010 and 2019 there’s been a “substantial” increase in the rates of early-onset cancers. The study’s authors write that it’s important to inform health care professionals of the discovery and urged experts to look into possible tumors when clinically appropriate, even in those under 50 years old.
