An animal shelter in Prince George’s County has implemented a quarantine due to an outbreak of a disease that affects dogs. The county’s Animals Services Facility and Adoption Center will be closed until further notice due to the outbreak. Dogs that are ill will be treated and testing will be conducted throughout the shelter. Dogs will only be allowed to leave the facility if they show no sign of illness or they are being returned to their owner.
