(Washington, DC) — Washington, DC is under a tornado watch as severe storms are starting to hit the East and South today. The National Weather Service says there are “increasing threats” for thunderstorms and heavy rain as far south as Tennessee. Northern Alabama and Georgia into southern Ohio, West Virginia and southwest Pennsylvania are on the alert for these storms.
