Shannen Doherty, known for her role in Beverly Hills, 90210, and Charmed bravely battled breast cancer since 2015.

In a recent podcast episode, she revealed that she would undergo chemotherapy again, expressing both fear and hope. Despite the challenges, Doherty remained optimistic about her treatment options and future plans. 

She often kept her emotions to herself, she revealed to her friend Chris Cortazzo. Chris, who spent a lot of time with Shannen before her death, expressed his deep sorrow on Instagram, sharing memories of their time.

Tragically, her publicist Leslie Sloane announced, “It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress, Shannen Doherty.” She continued, “On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease. The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie. The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.”

After fighting the battle for almost ten years, she was 53 years old.
