If you’re over 30 and grew up in the DMV, you’ve known Charles County as a sleepy, distant rural county down there somewhere. It is far from that now. The population has exploded. According to U.S. census reports, the population has grown by 20-thousand people every ten years since 1990. With that growth has come growing pains.
