Wednesday was a sentimental day for many who were holding on to memories of Washington’s professional football team’s glory years under its old, and what many saw as derogatory, name. Two years of the ‘Washington Football Team’ came to a close yesterday and now it is on to the Commanders. A new era with a new name brings optimism, but the organization still faces accusations of sexual misconduct and a toxic work environment.
