(Montgomery County, MD) — The Montgomery County Council approved new COVID-19 restrictions County Executive Marc Elrich proposed last week. Those restrictions include closing indoor dining, further limiting retail capacity, limiting non-professional indoor sports to ten people and allowing religious entities to have gatherings of up to 25 people outdoors without approval. Elrich said in a virtual meeting of county officials last week that he’s ready to put more restrictions into place to curb the spread of the coronavirus. They take effect today at 5 p.m.
