Neither the Department of Justice nor Donald Trump are getting the trial date they want in the former president’s classified documents case. Judge Aileen Cannon set a trial date for May 20th, 2024. The DOJ wanted the trial to start this December, while Trump and his attorneys wanted Judge Cannon to set a date for after the 2024 presidential election.
