Two people are dead following a violent night at a car meet-up in Prince George’s County. Police say the victims were shot a little before midnight yesterday in the parking lot of the Manokeek Village shopping center on Berry Road in Accokeek where the meet up took place. The victims identified as 55-year-old Patrick Savoy of Charlotte Hall and 48-year-old Sheldon Proctor, of Waldorf. A third person was shot, but suffered non-life threatening injuries. Several months ago, Maryland governor Wes Moore signed into law legislation to stiffen penalties for certain violations associated with “street meetups.” That law went into effect June 1.
