The two jurisdictions have joined a group of states to get 3-million rapid testing kits. That would mean people could know their status within 15-20 minutes after testing. Currently it can take days or weeks for results. Virginia governor Ralph Northam also announcing that Virginia has also rolled out a smartphone app to automatically notify people if they might have been exposed to the coronavirus.
