(Washington, DC) — If you are late paying your water bill, penalties are about to kick in. WSSC Water customers are being advised by the utility that it will once again start charging late fees on June 1st. The utility began waiving late fees in March 2020 due to the pandemic to assist customers financially impacted by the coronavirus. The company says that decision resulted in more than seven-million-dollars being waived for 175-thousand customers. The utility says those customers still facing financial hardship can set up a convenient payment plan to avoid further action.
