White House Confident There Will Be No Rail Strike

The devastating potential impact of a strike that could force many businesses to shut down.

(Washington, DC) – The Biden administration is confident a nationwide rail strike will be avoided. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said President Biden is confident there will be a resolution to an imminent strike. She said a shut down would have a devastating impact on American families and businesses, and some 750-thousand Americans could be out of work. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said lawmakers will have a bill to do so on the floor as soon as tomorrow morning.
