White House Ready To Give Kids COVID Shots

It has unveiled plans to get shots in kids’ arms ahead of final FDA and CDC recommendations.

(Washington, DC) — The White House is ready to give COVID shots to 28-million children between the ages of five and eleven-years-old. It has unveiled plans to get shots in kids’ arms ahead of final FDA and CDC recommendations. They include making the COVID vaccine available in more than 25-thousand pediatric and primary care offices, thousands of pharmacies and more than 100 children’s hospitals and health care systems. COVID Coordinator Jeff Zients says tools are also being prepared for quick distribution, including smaller needles. He says the final decision, expected in the next few weeks, will be “based on science” and the vaccine will be distributed equitably and fairly.
