Custody and Co-Parenting During the Holidays

So you call yourself a co-parent.  But that label can be truly tested during the holidays especially if you’re not the custodial parent and you want to spend time with you minor-age children.  What do you do if the custodial parent says no?  It can be frustrating, painful and certainly can ruin the joy of the season.  What are your rights when it comes to custody, joint custody, physical custody and all of the other confusing terms?
