Of course, cinema’s biggest night set trends across social media on Sunday night (March 12).  One of the viral moments came after Angela Bassett lost Best Supporting Actress for her role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. 

Jordan posted a series of photos coupled up with the notorious Harvey, one is of them in front of a Christmas tree, the other is what looks like Jordan whispering in Harvey’s ear, which she also posted to her Instagram page.

“I think there’s a time and a place for everything,” he says. “I’ve been picking my moments to make the most impact. We can all take action—big or small—to help create the change we want to see.”

People of color across film, television, music and more – was a night filled with black excellence, including wins for everyone from Beyoncé and Blue Ivy to Michael B. Jordan to Lizzo.

“Unlike other awards shows, we actually have black nominees,” Anderson said. He may well have been talking about “Just Mercy,” the acclaimed film that was snubbed by the Oscars, Golden Globes and other ceremonies in the long awards season.

“Just Mercy,” a Warner Bros. Picture release, is rated PG-13 for thematic content, including some racial epithets. Running time: 137 minutes. Three stars out of four.

“The word has been out that Warner Bros. has been mulling a completely different direction with its Superman canon for some time, even considering casting Michael B. Jordan in the role down the road.”

“It was the first time honestly that I actually heard my own internal thoughts through somebody else,” said Jordan, who is a co-executive producer of the series through his Outlier Society Productions company along with Winfrey.

“We’re all here because we love Denzel,” said Lee, who has directed Washington in four movies (“Mo’ Better Blues,” ″He Got Game,” ″Malcolm X” and “Inside Man”). “Denzel represents our black manhood.”
