Rashad expressed her longing to go to the theater, sometime that she even admitted that she took for granted, but now since it’s gone she misses it greatly.

Rashad discussed the many different roles she has played not just on the big screen but in theater as well.

The film will be available on Netflix January 17, 2020.

“We only have a short time on this planet,” Foxx’s character Joe Gardner says in the new trailer released Thursday. “You want to become the person you were born to be. Don’t waste your time on all the junk of life.

“I am happy to be directing this play that brought me so much joy,” Rashad said in a statement.
