Lights, camera,  action.  Get ready for some star power today right out of SE DC.  ITS THE ANNUAL BLACKS AND WAX performance by  youngsters of the SE TENNIS AND LEARNING CENTER.  The performance is tonight at The ARC and Saturday night at the Kennedy Center.  My guest is  Cora Masters Barry – FOUNDER AND CEO OF THE SE TENNIS AND LEARNING CENTER

‪On Thursday, March 16, and Saturday March 18th, 2023, the award-winning, “Blacks In Wax,”

founded by Former D.C. First Lady, Cora Masters Barry, Founder/CEO, the Southeast Tennis

and Learning Center (SETLC), and Recreation Wish List Committee, (RWLC), returns to the

stage with live dramatic performances by scholars of the SETLC.  Some of the individuals

and change agents featured will include: Beyonce, Viola Davis, Maryland Governor Wes

Moore, Vice President Kamala Harris, area Tennis sensation, Frances Tiafoe, EGOT recipient,

Jennifer Hudson, and other African-American icons, heroes, she/roes, legends and influencers
