Helping Communities Across The Country

Hundreds of Howard University students are preparing to roll up their sleeves next week to render service to communities in crisis.  They need our help to make that mission possible.  This Sunday WHUR is hosting our Annual Helping Hands Radiothon.  Joining me this morning to talk about why this year’s Alternative Spring Break is so crucial is Joseph Dillard – Program Director for the Alternative Spring Break Program (ASB)

Now in its 30th year, this year’s Alternative Spring Break theme is “30 Years of Service… A Legacy of Paying It Forward.” The WHUR Helping Hands Radiothon is Sunday, February 25th 6am – 6pm to help raise monies to support ASB.  You don’t have to wait until Sunday to make a donation.  Donate right now at whur.com.
