Of course, cinema’s biggest night set trends across social media on Sunday night (March 12).  One of the viral moments came after Angela Bassett lost Best Supporting Actress for her role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Jamie Lee Curtis received the award after a long wait to hold a gold statuette.

As she celebrated, the camera panned to Bassett, who stared blankly. “Angela Bassett’s reaction was for real,” one fan wrote, tweeted: “This woman has given so much to all her films for the Oscars to rob her yet again?!?” “Don’t get me wrong, Jamie Lee Curtis has phenomenal work, but Angela’s Oscars is LONG overdue, and it’s upsetting to see her get played in the face,” another viewer tweeted.

“The emotion when she lost, she had a blank face. She is amazing. She was SNUBBED.”
