Ashanti has confirmed that she is pregnant, revealing that her and Nelly are expecting their first child together. The couple, who have been dating on and off for ten years, shared the news on social media.

In a video skit, it shows her prepping to get ready for a concert. She asked how long she would take, she replied, “Uh, I’m gonna need about nine months.”

She also shared in an Essence interview that she is engaged. She said, “This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation. Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancee, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.”
